About UsThere are three of us—Todd, a real estate developer; Price, a retailer; and Grazyna, an artist. We’re trivia addicts, and like most people, we love to play games. Problem was, nobody had combined the two into an interactive, fun experience, in which ordinary people like us, with average intelligence, could enjoy playing. It seemed every question and answer game we played was full of questions like “Who starred with so and so in so and so movie,” or “what is the capitol of so and so”, and so on. Too be frank, these type of questions are cut and dry, and in many cases—at least for us, unanswerable. Meaning we world have to meekly respond by saying “I don’t know” and then having to wait for our turn to come up again. How much fun is that? How do you solve that? Simple, begin by asking carefully selected fun and interesting questions that involve a number for an answer. Questions in which no one is expected to know the exact answer—but in which anyone is required to venture forth a “wild guess”. In so, over the years, we gleaned our local library, the internet, magazines, newspapers, and anywhere else we could find interesting trivia that involved numbers. These questions were then culled to include only those questions that were somewhat off-the-wall, entertaining, and capable of invoking interesting conversations afterward. The rules and format of the game continuously evolved as we developed the game. At one time we had enough rules to make a small book. Eventually, however, we began to realize what made the game so much fun to play was the interaction amongst the players, the questions themselves, and the resulting laughter and conversations the answers invoked. In other words, “It’s the questions, stupid”. So we greatly simplified the rules, making the game very portable, fun, and easy to play. |
